I would like to introduce these pages and myself by this nice quotation. Perhaps because it expresses my own feelings from the mountains and climbing itself. Maybe questioningly, but still, it answers the main question, which is beeing asked over and over again, whether by myself or others. Why do we go to mountains and what is it that we love so much in sometimes very unhospitable environment. Why am I saying, after all day climbing, I wanna be home and have a hot shower, but as soon as week passes, I am planning new trips? Gaston has perfect answer to all of it. No metter what is the source of attraction, it is a challenge, which we cannot deny. And for those, who still do not get it, I would use the same answer, George Mallory used, when asked, why does he want to climb Mount everest: "Because it is there".
